OBITUARY
Wiliedan Thaddious Walker was bom on June 9,1950 to the late Thaddious Walker and Allefair Halyard Walker in Ehrhardt, South Carolina. He was the youngest of eight children. Williedean departed this life on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at his home in Darlington, South Carolina. He received his education through the Bamberg County Public School System in Bamberg, South Carolina. At an early age, he became a member of the Williams Chapel Baptist Church in Ehrhardt, South Carolina. Williedean had a no-nonsense attitude and was very confident in himself. He was truly a go-getter. With these traits, he left the rural country and migrated to the Big Apple and became an entrepreneur. He owned a Fish and Chips Restaurant and game room in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York, alongside his business partner, Evangelist Ellen Coker. They shared responsibilities, which consisted of hiring staff, purchasing supplies, cash handling, and cooking. This was definitely the place to be back in the 80's. Williedean and Evangelist Coker also share a daughter together, Charice Walker. He is preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Veronica Walker and seven siblings: Alfred Fair Walker, Charlie Thomas Walker, James Lewis Walker, Tyrone Alphonso Walker, Mannie George Walker, Pauline Walker Jackson and Mae West Walker Richardson.
Williedean leaves to cherish his memories - His sons: Darrin Walker (Shaniece) of Bamberg, SC and Thaddies Walker (Elaine Johnson Walker) of Columbia, SC; His daughter, Charice Walker of Brooklyn, NY; Four grandchildren: Lakita Walker of Orangeburg, SC, Tonisha Walker of Bamberg, SC, Jordan Harris of Brooklyn, NY and Rodriguez Priester of South Carolina; Four great grandchildren: Laiylah Walker, Mazi Butterfield and Charm Butterfield of Bamberg, SC and Jaysum Lee of Orangeburg, SC; Father figure to: Kelvin, Terry, Christopher and Phillip Coker of Brooklyn, NY, Tajuana "Tootie" and Rhodus (Lee) Nichols of Schenectady, NY; Two sisters-in-law: Connie Walker and Gladys Walker of South Carolina, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a beautiful friend for over 65 years, Lealer Jackson. "Your legacy lives on in the lives you touched, the lessons you taught, and the love you shared."
