HER STORY
Daughter of Vincent and Clara Thomas and Stanley Priester, was born on March 3, 1984, at Orangeburg County Hospital. She peacefully departed this earthly life on May 13, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center. Tiffany was united in marriage to Farrell Montrez Washington.
There is so much to be said about this remarkable woman. In her 41 years, Tiffany made a profound impact and accomplished so much. She received her early education at Denmark-Olar Elementary School and attended Felton Laboratory School in Orangeburg, SC, for middle school. She graduated as salutatorian of the Denmark-Olar High School Class of 2002, earning the highest SAT/ACT scores among her peers. Tiffany Denise was voted Miss Homecoming as well.
A lifelong scholar and honor student, Tiffany earned a full scholarship to South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, SC, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in English Education. While at SCSU, she became a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Alpha Xi Chapter. Her line name, “The Negotiator,” perfectly captured her spirit, wisdom, and unwavering resolve.
Mrs. Tiffany Denise Willis Washington’s legacy of love, strength, excellence, and compassion will live on in all who knew and loved her.
Tiffany furthered her education by earning a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University in 2008. She went on to receive a second Master of Science degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina in 2011.
Throughout her 19-year career in education, Tiffany was a dedicated teacher, coach, mentor, and leader. She taught English at Bethune-Bowman High School, Fairfield Central High School, Lexington Two Innovation Center, Airport High School, Kershaw County Adult Education, and Palmetto E-Academy. She also coached volleyball and softball. She served as a school-level instructional technologist coach at Hunter-Kinard-Tyler and later as a teaching and learning coach with Aiken County School District. Wherever she went, Tiffany left a lasting impression on students and colleagues. Her students adored her, and many considered her a life-changing influence.
She was honored as “Teacher of the Week” by WLTX after being nominated by a former student—a testament to the lasting bonds she built. Tiffany was everything to everyone: a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, sister, mentor, motivator, educator, soror, confidant, and dear friend.
She had a unique and meaningful relationship with every person she encountered.
Recently, Tiffany pursued a new passion and became known as The Homegirl Realtor, embarking on a promising real estate career with the same drive and heart she brought to everything else in her life.
At an early age, Tiffany joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she joyfully sang in the choir.
